How Much Do Dance Classes Cost in Sandy, Utah?

October 03, 2026•3 min read

Short answer: at Ladu Dance Studio in Sandy, kids dance classes cost $60 to $205 a month, depending on how many hours your dancer takes each week. One hour a week is $60/month, and you can try any class first for $15. Here's how pricing works, what changes the cost, and the questions worth asking any studio before you sign up.

Ladu's monthly tuition (2026–2027)

Tuition is based on the total hours your dancer takes per week, across ballet, jazz, and ballroom. You pay one monthly price for all of their classes.

What changes the cost of dance classes

  • Hours per week. This is the biggest factor at most studios. More classes means more training time and a higher monthly price, but the cost per hour usually goes down.

  • Recreational vs. competitive. Recreational classes are the most affordable. Competition teams add rehearsals, coaching, costumes, and event fees.

  • Private lessons. One-on-one lessons cost more per hour than group classes, but they move much faster. At Ladu, adults learn through private lessons.

Ways to save at Ladu

  • Try it first for $15. Your child takes a real class before you commit to a month.

  • Sibling discount. Every sibling after the first gets 5% off tuition.

  • Half-price months. August and May are half tuition.

  • One price for every style. Mixing ballet and ballroom doesn't cost extra. It all adds up to one weekly hour total.

Other costs to ask any studio about

Monthly tuition isn't always the full picture. Before you enroll anywhere, including with us, it's worth asking:

  • Is there a registration or yearly fee?

  • What does a showcase or recital costume cost, and is it required?

  • What shoes and dancewear does the class need? (See our dress code.)

  • For competition teams: what are the travel, entry, and costume costs?

  • What's the policy for dropping a class or missing a week?

At Ladu, tuition is due on the 1st of each month. To drop a class, give written notice at least 10 days before the next billing cycle. Classes aren't refunded or prorated for missed weeks. Full details are on our tuition page.

Is the cheapest studio the best value?

Not always. A few dollars a month matters less than whether your child loves going and actually improves. When you compare studios, look at:

  • Class size and attention. Will the teacher know your child by name?

  • Teacher background. Ladu's dancers include world, world pro-am, and national champions.

  • A clear path. Can your child grow from beginner classes into more advanced training?

  • Stage time. Every Ladu student performs in our showcases.

  • Can you watch? Parents are always welcome to watch class at Ladu.
