Dress Code

Proper dancewear helps students move safely, comfortably, and confidently while allowing instructors to clearly see their technique and alignment. Please follow the dress code for each class.

Ballroom

Girls

Students should wear comfortable, fitted dancewear that allows for freedom of movement.

Acceptable options include:

• Leggings

• Dance skirts

• Fitted dance tops or shirts

• Other appropriate dancewear

Students should wear proper ballroom shoes appropriate for their style of dance. Practice ballroom shoes are also acceptable for class.

Boys

Students should wear:

• Black slacks or other nice, comfortable pants

• A fitted or appropriate dance shirt

Please do not wear:

• Sweatpants

• Jeans

• Athletic shorts or overly loose clothing

Students should wear proper ballroom shoes appropriate for their style of dance. Practice ballroom shoes are also acceptable for class.

Ballet

Required Attire

• Black or pink leotard

• Leggings

• Ballet slippers

Hair

Hair must be pulled back securely into a bun for ballet class. Hair should be completely off the face and neck so that instructors can properly see the dancer’s alignment and technique.

Students should arrive dressed and ready for class with all required dancewear and shoes.
